Established in 1987, Gagan Handloom Industries is a trusted Maheshwari handloom manufacturer based in Maheshwar, Madhya Pradesh.

We began our journey with 25 traditional handlooms, committed to preserving authentic Maheshwari silk-cotton weaving. Today, with more than 50 operational looms and decades of experience, we proudly continue the weaving heritage introduced by Ahilyabai Holkar.

When we started in 1987, machine-made textiles were rapidly growing across the market. However, we chose to remain dedicated to pure handloom weaving. With the continuous support of our skilled karigars, we expanded our production while maintaining 100% authentic Maheshwari handloom craftsmanship in traditional silk by cotton fabric. Our sarees feature the signature reversible border (Bugdi), fort-inspired motifs, and premium finishing standards that reflect the architectural beauty of Maheshwar Fort and the cultural richness of the region. Our artisans are not just workers — they are the backbone of our growth since 1987.

From 25 looms in 1987 to over 50 active handlooms today, we have developed more than 300 saree designs, 150+ dupatta designs, and 50+ suit material designs. We also undertake bulk and custom manufacturing for retailers, wholesalers, and designers.
